Students have taken top prizes at all levels, most recently sweeping all categories in the 2016 competition.
Prize winners perform debut recitals at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Multiple Kaboff students have performed there in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2022, 2024, and returning April 2026.
In 2018, a 6-year-old student performed at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall as a prize winner.
The Bow Lightlys were 2022 Laureates, performing at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.
Colin H. was a 2020 YoungArts Competition Winner.
Genevieve B. took 1st place in multiple categories at the 2018 competition (Kol Nidrei and Orbit by Philip Glass).
Students participate in chamber music and full orchestra performances. In 2019, ensembles coached by Mr. Kaboff appeared at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and on ABC7 Washington.
John Kaboff served as chairman of this competition in 2022, and previously adjudicated in 2006 and 2012.
